Keelowas foreign exchange football team has taken over the B.J. Lions football team.
The team, which is based in B.L.C., has won the league championship in 2016.
The Lions defeated the Boca Raton-based team 4-1 in the championship game.
The Boca teams owner, Steve Haddad, said that the team was formed in response to the rise of the CFL’s expansion and the need to find a new home for the league.
The team was founded by Haddads son and wife, who own a business that sells foreign exchange trading cards, the company said in a statement.
“We have a unique perspective that brings the best of both worlds to our business.
We have the opportunity to help build the league, and we’re proud to be part of the team,” said Haddades father, Stephen.
The Lions are currently in a search for a new team.
“Our vision is to grow the league and bring B.A.S. to more people in Canada,” said team owner Steve HADDAD in a video message.
