In a statement, the film’s star Bryce Dallas Howard said he is “very excited” to “continue to develop the franchise.”
Howard and the cast of Jurassic World are working on a third installment, and the film is scheduled to begin filming in January 2019.
The Jurassic World movie was originally slated to be released in March 2019.
“I am extremely excited to continue to develop this franchise, but I also realize that this is a time where a lot of people are not going to be able to see it, so that is something I am very grateful for,” Howard said in the statement.
“I will be able and happy to release it when it is ready.”
The cast of the upcoming Jurassic World film are also working on another film.
J.K. Simmons is developing a live-action television series based on the movie franchise, and Jurassic World actor Ryan Reynolds is working on several projects in addition to the movie.
